Could he possibly demonstrate to the nation how imposing a ban on legally held SA rifles will ever prevent terrorists from acquiring & using illegal full-auto weapons instead of treating the public as a bunch of morons & fobbing them into a sense of false-security ?

WHY, they have already "taken ALL guns off the streets"! They robbed you of semi auto "hi powered rifles" after Hungerford so WTF is "DAVE" on about!

Will he give up HIS armed security then, can we see the police handing in their guns immediately afterwards since we are all perfectly safe now that they have disarmed the law abiding people while leaving the terrorist entrance doors off their hinges! Of course not!

BTW: in the UK we do NOT have "high powered semi automatic weapons" - we have sporting firearms... We have LOW powered Semi auto (.22RF) and shotguns! Anyone still not convinced enough and still thinkig this is just a joke and their guns are safe??

Hmm.... This is the one I struggle with as it is impossible to know what he really means. Are we to assume the intention is to the word, all high-powered semi-automatic weapons and does this purely cover S5 S/A and accordingly F/A firearms which are outside the reach of the vast majority of us. Or does it include S1 and S2 S/A shotguns? They keep impressing the word 'High-powered' so does this exclude .22 Rimfire S/A rifles?

My worry is how much further this is taken if it is imposed on the UK.

+1 , as a general rule I can not believe anybody has actually ever agreed with illegal firearms on the first place ? Isn't a bit rich from somebody who failed so utterly miserably to know or control who comes in the country ?

The wording is pretty clear. Pretending that some legal firearms, that have not been used in terrorist attacks, are a problem in order to mask the shocking incompetence in preventing criminals to acquire illegal weapons is simply a farce IMO. An intelligence Prime Minister should now better unless he is totally unfit for the job.

Damn ... if only I could have that 10 minutes "after" fag & pillow talk with his exhausted but contented Home Secretary to put it right ...

Surely this is a Human Rights issue - not to be perscuted, your rightts respected etc etc....and a right to a "fair" trial and punishment..seems that's ALL missing here.
