F Class league - Blair Atholl 7/8 May

I can only say that the scenery at Blair Atholl Range is stunning, as you can see :) these pics were taken on the Wednesday after we'd arrived on Tuesday and it was glorious.

Sadly the weather broke later in the week, but with the exception of the first detail on Sunday when a torrential downpour and squall blew through we managed to stay reasonably dry. The fold out Gazebo's are a great help

There was a blow off session both mornings to allow some cheeky sighting in, which in fairness sounds like cheating but no-one wants to be wrecking the electronic scoring frames, I was surprised that I was a good way high 3 MOA
but this was due to the reasonably strong back wind and the fact the the actual distance is apparently 987 yards
.
The Course of fire was three matches of 2+15 on Saturday and two matches 2+20 on Sunday.
The great thing with the electronic target system used at Blair was that as soon and the firing point became free the next pair could get started, meaning the day kept moving without long stops for changeovers etc.
I had set a goal of finishing somewhere in the middle, which I achieved finishing up 14/23 in the F-TR division, results here.

All in all a great weeks holiday, I took my dad away for a break and great fun shooting at the weekend, I can only again say what a warm and friendly bunch the F-class shooters are and very helpful with advice for newbie like me.
