Nice... A Roumanian PSL sold as a Russian Tula made SVD with added bonus of the ubber rarity of the maker since SVD are normally made by Izhmash . 1st prize .
Anyway this rifle is described as Semi-Auto . Does it mean it is only for export or that CG is actually trying to sale for the deact Mkt ? Incidentally there is also a nice NDM for sale at the same px but in 308 .

I would have thought it was either S5 or deactivate over here, other than that it is export.

Froggy, there are a surprising number of S5 owners here in the UK...

Yep, I know of one S5 owner at least. Seen them shooting a G3/CETME (I couldn't tell the difference from a distance) a while back which was pretty cool.

Other than being rich and famous, a politician , member of the royal family, or a published weapons expert (?) how do you qualify for a S5.
I bet lots more than we realise in the afore mentioned catagories have them.

A couple I know got them because they supply the Film Industry. A lot of bother though, God knows there are enough pitfalls for Sec1 owners to fall into never mind Sec5.

S5 also for companies that develope military spec optics and manufacture and test body armour.

Froggy......correct, Izhmash is the only producer of the Dragunov and they have never been made at the Tula Arsenal.I have pointed out to C&G that it is infact a PSL but they obviously haven't corrected their error.

Surely being a dealer in such firearms is going to be the #1 reason?? Someone has to import/sell them to the film industry, 'rich and famous', royalty, police, S7 clubs etc?

There is also an increasing number of Maritime Security Companies requiring Sec5 for UK based training of their staff.

The good old L1A1 is a favourite choice for this work..
