Sniper Rifles....which one is best....just your opinion...
For my part I like both of my No4s,.303 and 7.62 and always enjoy shooting my Nagant with the PE scope.....but what is YOUR favourite and what in your opinion is the best Sniper Rifle of the past and which one would you buy if you could afford it...?
Re: Sniper Rifles....which one is best....just your opinion.
I've only shot 3, No.4T, 91/30 PU and a Mauser K98K with a 4x scope.
The No.4T and 98 were extensive only 10 rounds or so in each, the 91/30 I own.
I get on well with the 91/30, I can shoot tidy groups with it and like the optics, the Mauser was ok, just didn't do much for me, but then again I'm not a massive Mauser fan, the No.4T, loved it, to be honest it was excellent to shoot, but then again I was only young (16 I think) and the legend and mythos of the No.4T may have biased my view somewhat. But with the No.32 scope and the cheek rest I certainly found it to be the most comfortable of the 3 to shoot.

I have owned and shot the following over he years:
Russian MNs with PU and PEM scopes.
Swedish M41B
Mauser K98
L42
No4T
Enforcer
I also had a a Springfield and No1 with offset mounts but how original they were I was uncertain.
They all shot well but the only one I still own is the No4T.
The swede was probably the most accurate but like the MN and the Mauser the scope is mounted way to high for me and even with cheek pices added I still couldn't shoot them as well as they deserve and I'm no fan of the K98s fullstop. The L42 was a heavy bugger and again shot well enough but anything in 7.62/308 is a real turn off for me so it went the journey along with the Enforcer, I did like the Enforcer as the sporting stock did make it user freindlier however an Enfield in 7.62 is just so wrong!
The No 4T just fits like a glove and shoots honest 4 1/2" repeatable groups at 400 yrds with HXP, so that is the one I still have and love shooting, the fact that it is THE iconic British sniper is a big plus too.

Swiss ZFK55...basically a modded K31..the standard K31 will outshoot just about every other standard military rifle and most of the sniper versions.....the ZFK55 must really be good!

The one I tried was nice, but the bipod was the worst I've ever used on any rifleMike95 wrote:Swiss ZFK55...basically a modded K31..the standard K31 will outshoot just about every other standard military rifle and most of the sniper versions.....the ZFK55 must really be good!
