.223 bolt face ??

#1 Post by 20series »

Peeps

Which calibres use the same bolt face as .223 Rem?

I'm thinking of a .223 for a family rifle but might go down the donor rifle/rebarrel route.

I think the following will fit;
300Whisper or Blackout
221 Fireball
17 Rem
204 Ruger
222 Remington
222 Remington Magnum
6x47mm
and some pistol cases

Edited to add some more

Nope, it is a 223BF - there was one on the shelf immediately behind you last time you were over.

Thanks mate but no I'm just looking at options for a straight .223, The boys and Deb like shooting the club .223 and we'll probably just end up buying off the shelf but I had half an idea to sell the .284 and have something built cheers

Just read this as I haven't heard of the Beowulf and unless I read it wrong it says it uses a 7.62x39 sized bolt face.

Bugger, I took it off the x39 shelf so you are absolutely right. I have been working with 12,7x99 today so everything looks small in comparison. :oops:
