.223 bolt face ??
Peeps
Which calibres use the same bolt face as .223 Rem?
I'm thinking of a .223 for a family rifle but might go down the donor rifle/rebarrel route.

When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns
Re: .223 bolt face ??
Nope, it is a 223BF - there was one on the shelf immediately behind you last time you were over.

Thanks mate but no I'm just looking at options for a straight .223, The boys and Deb like shooting the club .223 and we'll probably just end up buying off the shelf but I had half an idea to sell the .284 and have something builtovenpaa wrote:...and I have a .50 Beowulf round here you can have a look at if you fancy something a bit lumpy for the .223BF

Re: .223 bolt face ??
Just read this as I haven't heard of the Beowulf and unless I read it wrong it says it uses a 7.62x39 sized bolt face.

Bugger, I took it off the x39 shelf so you are absolutely right. I have been working with 12,7x99 today so everything looks small in comparison.
