I have now decided to just keep my Lee Turret Press and am going to use this for reloading my pistol ammo as it is cheap, cheerful and relatively quick.
My rifle ammo is a different matter. I have decided to go for a single stage press but don't want to spend a fortune otherwise I'd have a Forster press. Can anybody recommend a suitable press please?
Also I need recommendations for the make/type of dies. Good quality for the 303 but top quality for 308 and subsequent rifles.

Lee classic press and Forster dies would be my suggestion, the Forster Ultra micrometer seating die is a great die and the make most used in this house. We also use Forster neck sizing dies.

I have a feeling that when it comes to presses it is down to what you like - unfortunately in the UK market it is unlikely that you can walk into many shops and have a play with several to see which one works for you.
I would say that it is worth having a go with as many as you can get access to before parting with any cash, I don't think that cost is necessarily linked to what is best for yo at the end of the day.
On the other hand when it comes to dies I have learnt different.
I started with a set of LEE dies but found getting the settings just right was a painstaking exercise.
I now have a set of Redding competition dies which also have a micro meter on and are a pleasure to work with.
With the exception of the press, I have bought nearly all of my gear from Sinclair's, which has saved me a pretty penny on UK prices,

I've been using an RCBS Rock Chucker and RCBS Dies for the last 25 years that I have been reloading. I do use the RCBS Competition dies for my .308 loads and the standard dies for .303 and .223. I did try the Lee .303 dies but went back to my RCBS ones as the case life seemed to suffer with the Lee Dies. Can't say that I'll ever be changing from that. This also seems to be the combination that most TR and Match rifle shooters use.

I dont have any experience of the new lee cast press but it has had some good reports.
I have used a Lyman crusher single station press for years for all my re loading. The rcbs rock chucker is ok as well.
As for dies I tend to use mainly rcbs but I also have lee, lyman and redding dies.
I dont shoot in comps no way could I afford a f class or bench rest gun so I dont have any experience loading for these exotic calibers.
But I can re load a pretty accurate .308 round for my steyr SSG.
Most of my stuff is millitary calibers.
