Brownells/Sinclairs

What a bunch of ****

Tried to place an order last night and it came up saying my US$ Mastercard was an invalid number, triple checked it and tried again and again, still no luck. Rang customer services and eventually got a nice lady who looked into it,

"yes, it's invalid"

"no it's not, check my previous orders and see how I paid for them"

"It's the same card, but the number is invalid"

"How can it be invalid if it's been working with your order system since 2002 and I've just used it on Amazon and Walmart without a problem?"

"It may be because you're in England??"

"That wouldn't give an invalid number, it's not even going through to the payment verification site"

"It's an invalid number"

Followed by going round in circles for a further 10mins, the end result is that just because it works everywhere else and has been used multiple times with Brownells previously because it now says Invalid Number the number on the card must be wrong, can't possibly be their fault, I must be putting it in wrong. Gave her the number etc. over the phone, same result wallhead

Rang the card issuer this morning and no problems at all, number is 100% valid, every other transaction I've done over the last few weeks (and this morning) ready for our trip has gone through perfectly.

aaarggh

Weird, I had a similar problem today trying to renew a domain name in the UK.

Same same card info as before, all valid but for some reason not allowed. Bank says it's because the CVC (3 numbers)are not showing up even though they are present???????? I should get the seller to call the card center and give them the number. WHAT???????

Yes everyone in the banks here speaks English - NOT!!!!!!!!!!! kukkuk
