Lever release
I am toying with the idea of one of these.
I am not a fan of you know who!
I don't want to drag up previous issues either - I have read them all!
A couple of questions to owners.
1. Uzi or Glock?
2. Cast versus FMJ accuracy wise and best weight of bullet?
3. Should I wait for a Mars?
That's all.

Re: Lever release
#1 - none of the above
#2 invalidates the maker warranty - factory ammo only.
Weight of bullet would be down to calibre...
#3 = YES, but keep away from the Scottish versions of them (same as the regular ones, but deep fried in batter)

Re: Lever release
See if you can have a go with all of them before you commit. I have an SGC Uzi one and really like it. It was a 'must have', sat unloved for a while and is now getting more use.
Get a Mag Lula if you buy one, you're forever loading mags.

The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.
Re: Lever release

This references the type of magazine used not the manufacturer.joe wrote:Where pray how are going to get glock to make you a lever release version ???
Re: Lever release
1. Glock (I have had zero issues with the Glock mag system on my LRA9, and mags are easy to find).
2. Only used factory in mine; 115gr FMJ works well for me.
3. MARS is an interesting piece for sure, but I prefer the AR15 look and layout of the LRA9. I also like to use a trigger for shooting only...

Re: Lever release
I have a Glock mag version. Fired 1000 without any issues so far, I bought it on here used.
Plated bullets are available in 123gr and 145gr which are cheaper than FMJ and not as messy as cast lead.
Was considering a VZ58 but as stated above, prefer the AR15 design and the lever mechanism is fast enough for use at my club and the RCOs views on rapid fire...

Re: Lever release
I sold my Uzi mag version LRA9 to fund a VZ58 MARS and would do the same in a heartbeat. While the SGC gun has the AR looks (well, the Uzi version looks like the M635, i'm not a fan of the Glock versions appearance - or mag release for that matter), the mechanisms are worlds apart. While it's possible to get a similar rate of fire from both guns, it's far, far easier with the MARS. Of course if you're not going to use it that way or for action/IPSC style shooting thats not really an issue.
Can't answer the cast/FMJ question though as i fed mine on 124gr & 147gr PPU, 124gr Geco or mil-surp FMJ
