Club FAC Question

#1 Post by Quarters »

We only have one person on our club FAC who can buy ammunition for the club. Is it possible to add a second person and do we then have two FAC documents?

What do other clubs do in this situation?

Thanks for any help!

You can get a letter from club chairman/committee/club fac holder to authorise a full member to act on behalf of the club.
This means that a full member can turn up with club fac, letter and money to collect ammo.
Usually best to liase with dealer and pay up front before hand.
I am fairly certain this is still the case.

In the club i am a secretary of we have the club certificate with all of the gun's on it and then we designated a rifle sec ,a pistol sec ,a blackpowder sec and a shotgun sec together with a club armourer, They all have the relevant club guns on their own personal certificates together with enhanced ammunition quantities for those club guns , The armourer has another certificate so that they can hold all of the club gun's and ammunition the same as the main club certificate ,So there are a minimum of three people that can purchase any caliber's that the club has in it's inventory.
Any variations or additional slot's for the club guns on personal certificate's is free of charge the same as the club certificate.

That is very interesting - thanks for sharing, I'll bring that to the attention of my club as we have a little bit of trouble with our club certificate and the holder of it being unavailable........

Can I ask which constabulary your club is located in as my club would like to do something similar to yours with our club FAC and it might be helpful if we can point out which force is allowing someone else to do it.
