[Classic Rifles]

Thought this may be quite a good idea to use everyone's collective knowledge about all things milsurp. I know there are a few things I don't know about my rifle that other's may do.

Currently I've been looking at my K98 and I was wondering about the markings on the receiver. There are 3 distinct eagles, with 25, 38 and 26 under each one. I'm guessing they are inspectors marks but do the numbers mean anything in particular? The other interesting marking is to the left of them, it looks like a 5 fronded-thing, but no idea what it is
