I have just ordered one of these in to see how it performs, Lee say:
This is a new case trimming system from Lee Precision. No calipers, measurements or adjustments are required. Simply install the appropriate quick trim die in your press and start trimming using either the Deluxe Quick Trim or the Value Quick Trim cutters. A click adjustable stop allows trim length adjustment in .001 of an inch increments. This allows the user to shorten cases to a uniform shorter length than standard, reducing trimming frequency. With this new system you can also trim calibers like .17 Rem and .204 Ruger to exact case lengths.
At £26/set for the rifle brass version of the de-luxe version which also chamfers the inside of the case I though it had to be worth a look.
Has anyone else tried them?

I have them for 223, 303, 308 with the trimmer that chamfers.
I used to use the zip trim and would say I can trim at about 3 times as fast using the new style trimmer.

Well it arrived this morning however I seem to have failed at the first hurdle, I cannot insert the trimmer/cutter body into the case holder, it just will not go in. Am I missing something?

Having a brain fart and trying to fit it in the wrong end of the die perhaps?
Seriously though it should just drop in, in what way will it not fit? BTW I use the Quick trim for pistol cases, works great.
There was/is a problem with some of the dies having the wrong internal diameter but they were oversized so the cutter was "wobbly", these had an i/d of around 14.72mm.
If it's any use mine are,
Trimmer o/d = 14.22 with a drop to 14.12 where the blade groove is
Rifle Dies i/d = 14.30
Pistol Die i/d = 14.24

I have just locked up the workshop for the evening and walked away so I will check the dimensions in the morning, yes I made sure it went in the right way, it just seems to jam up immediately and certainly will not seat in fully.
I will report back.

David,
I also heard that some of the trimmers were to wide for the dies.
So far I have trimmed over 1000 cases of different calibres without a problem.
The time saved is about a third compared with the zip trimmer.

It's def. faster than using the Zip trim or the other Lee stuff and with the built in internal/external chamfer it's probably faster then using my CTS trimmer and Hornady Trio case prep unit. However, the CTS is a lot faster at trimming to length if you have a lot of cases to get through and a lot easier to use.
But horses for courses and the Quick Trim Deluxe, especially given the price (under $20/£12 plus dies), is an excellent choice for an all-in-one case trimming solution.
