MOD Ranges
For those of you that shoot on MOD ranges, are you allowed to use any alternative target systems other than the traditional type. I mean moving target, falling plates, electronic etc. If so how did you get "certified" to do it, MOD or Landmarc?
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
Re: MOD Ranges
I have shot electronic at DE ranges and the only possible training I could have done with was on manual handling! As far as I know moving targets are not permitted as such and anyway would require 'Field Firing' RCO's to control such shoots.Mike357 wrote:For those of you that shoot on MOD ranges, are you allowed to use any alternative target systems other than the traditional type. Re: MOD Ranges
We've had electronic, turning and falling plate. I don't know the ins and outs, I just tend to turn up!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Re: MOD Ranges
Just asked hubby, NRA Regional Manager,
He said you can use ETR or similar however it's depending on officer I/C of the range giving permission even though DTE Warminster have said it is alright for civvy clubs to use them. All DTE range officers I/C can use their discretion over who uses what on their ranges.
