Accuracy International AT released

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

AI have released information on the new AI/AT that is set to replace the AI/AE. features include an adjustable trigger and quick release barrel system. SO far all I can find on it is an article on Snipers Hide including a Video and Press Release however there is nothing on the AI US or AI UK sites at this stage.

Has anyone seen anything other than the article on Snipers Hide?

And if that is less than £5k I'll never rag Chuck again!!

AT or Rangemaster.....?

Allegedly one is better but the other has the PR.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Bollox! Just read the press release. Base model under £2500!

I can't let Chuck off that easy....

But bloody hell, that's a bargain! The cost of a custom built Remington gets you an AI? Very clever. They're going to sell shed loads....

The Rangemaster/Quadlock is quite an old design. My understanding is they are working on some new models including a lightweight sporting action however quite when they will be released remains to be seen.

I have a feeling AI are moving away from the military contracts and I would not be surprised to see the L115A2 eventually replaced with something sourced outside of the UK.

Moving away from military? I'd be surprised. Perhaps a refocus on the civilian/police market with military operations scaling down?

BTW, even though the Quadlock is getting on, it only shows how advanced it was in it's day! Lol

If it does retail for under £2500 here I think I will be saving up for one. Was contemplating a Remmy in an AICS chassis but the difference will be nearly nothing.
