Happy 101st Birthday – This Old Colt Has Still Got It!

Image

I recently was shown one of these and by God it was the nicest looking finish I've ever seen on any Firearm.

Hasten to mention though - It had been Deacted. Bloody shame. :bad:

I wish mine looked that short
There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That's one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other 11?

Well....here's my happy birthday present. The Missus bought it for me for my 60th that comes about in a couple weeks, along with achieving my Master's degree and finally retiring completely from the military. She said with those three milestones a new firearm was in order.

This is only my second Colt new in the box purchase. My first was a Colt government model way back in 1973 or so which I traded for a Marlin 39 .22 rifle after about a year. I lost out big-time on that trade!

Can't wait to take this to the range on my birthday. Not as pretty as the model shown in the first posting, but this'll do. One of my kids will be pretty happy with this one when I pass it along - but not for awhile!
