Martini Enfield striker?

#1 Post by Meaty »

Afternoon,
Does anyone know where I can source a striker for a Martini Enfield? I have been asked to try and find one by a friend who has just broken his spare! Apparently the diameter of the firing pin is smaller on the .303 than on the .577/450, as is the hole in the breach-block so the larger more readily available ones are no good. I have said that I can silver solder/sweat a drill shank or hardened pin into the striker housing and grind to the required length to get the ME shooting again but an original would be preferable. I had a good rummage at the Trafalgar last weekend but no joy-plenty of the earlier 577/450's but no .303's.
Thanks in advance.

I got my last ones from Numrich, that was year or two ago now, just bought some 310 Cadet pins from them.
