It is the Wild West after all, however, it is also not a very good advertisement for responsible firearms use and not a problem resticted to the Sout West.

"Horrific safety implications"? Shameless publicity-seeking to help sell his book and 'corporate driver training', more like!

"I'm very familiar with the damage guns cause - and these have been done by rifles, handguns and shotguns," he told BBC News.

Really ?

So, the road sign in the photo - is it made of ceramic ? Or maybe Kevlar ?

Because as far as I can see there is no penetration.

I've just come back from Crete where every sign had bullet holes in.The only ones that didn't had names of towns on, the others seem to all be shot.

Familiar enough to tell the type of firearm just by looking at a bullet hole, but not familiar enough to know handguns have been banned for 16 years!

Still, his pictures speak for themselves.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!
