A new range of SHED Cartridge Comparators

Based on the feedback we have had there is no doubt the Shooting SHED range of cartridge comparators has always been popular however they have always been a nightmare to build and I often found myself throwing one set in 4 or even 3 away which was soul destroying. The really bad part was I would not know until they were totally finished if they were going to be correct to specification. This culminated in me wrecking a large run of comparators a few weeks ago which was soul destroying, nigh on a weeks work down the pan.

So I sat down and looked at the whole process of machining the 2P and 3P comparators, the tooling and machinery and effectively rethought the whole process. This week I put the revised design 2P and 3P comparators back into production with spectacular results. The new style holds the critical dimensions such as the vernier clamp slots, mating faces and comparator bores to .00015" or better (4 microns) and feedback from the people I have sent them out to has been very good indeed so it looks like I have cracked it.

There is a slight downside and that is the new range of comparators is no longer going to be as shiny as before. The last thing I want to do is impact the accuracy in any way by polishing the edges away so the new ones are virtually as machined with very little surface polishing, the plus side is I honestly believe these are the most accurate comparators in the world.

The new 2P and 3P cartridge comparator family is fully modular, interchangeable and available in many configurations and all parent case cartridge comparators are fully interchangeable.

Options are:

Cartridge Comparator.
Shoulder Bump Gauge.
Individual upper tooling.
Individual lower tooling.
Bearing surface comparators.
Bullet base to bearing surface upper comparators.

Available for all factory and wildcat cartridges up to and including .338LM
