C2R cleaning Fest!

Firstly a big thank you to Adam and the Yarners club for having me this morning
Adam was doing a demonstration of C2R and I took along my Steyr to see if it would improve it.
To be honest I wasn't expecting anything to come out as after using my usual Montana X-Treme cleaner the Patch Out & Accelerator I tried didn't find anything at all.
After letting the C2R stand for 25mins I was surprised to see a slightly blue patch emerge from the bore! so obviously this C2R stuff works!!
So, will I be buying some, yes indeed!, anything that works that well is a must have and I look forward to seeing what it finds in my other rifles.

Sounds like some good stuff Adam. I was looking to pop down and see you soon anyway for some powder, primers and bullets. If you have some C2R in stock then I shall pick some up, I have a grotty m91/30 that would certainly feel the benefit from it!
Regards
Ian

I think every one there this morning was pleasantly surprised and impressed at C2R's effectiveness Jeff.
Hopefully we will be getting more feedback from some of the other happy testers, especially the black powder shooters as I think we have a winner there, might even get Joe shooting black.

I'm convinced it does what it say's on the bottle!
I took along my M95 Steyr, which I thought was clean, we ran a dry patch through to clean out the youngs 303 that I always leave in the bore. After standing for a half hour out came the metallic fouling much to my surprise. My pics don't show how blue the patches actually were.

Thank for the initiative and wow C2R's impact looking good there - glad they happy! :goodjob:
This was after a 25/30 minute soak?!
As for the deep blue patches - the CR2 once the patch is out the deep blue/copper quickly spreads out into the patch and fades a away!
Thats why I love photo's to capture the colour and impact!
JJVC - I bet the carbon streaking was also pretty surprising!?
For deep cleaning the ideal lengths are between 2 and 12/24 hours to get maximum impact!
In fact you can leave C2R in for up to 5 to 8 days and still have every effective deep cleaning!
Ideal length is +- 2 hours (so you use the product effectively in the barrel)
The extra duration obviously removes more copper but also gets more carbon out!
Once the gun is clean - I have found that I tend to do a 1 hr soak plus a 12 hour soak mostly for peace of mind - since very little comes out in the 12 hour soak anyway!
Remember once you get all the OLD gunk out then the maintenance / normal usage clean is much quicker and easier!

Adam sold me on Ed's Red, and now I've got enough of the stuff to last me until I'm his age! sign01
