Is there a website that you can use to decode your Enfield serial numbers?

You need Ye-Olde-Pre-Internet-Archives

books, mate

Skennerton title "The Lee Enfield Story" & his book on the US Enfields

Reynolds book on the Lee Enfield

Some of the US NRA single dedicated volume pamphlets, etc.

Post some photos, and we can tell you the whole story....

No1, No4 or some other model?

In a No1 much of the detail is one the left and right side of the butt socket, and in the mass of markings on the knox form and rear of the barrel.

On a No4, the detail is the left butt socket, left receiver wall, and again the knox form and rear part of the barrel.
