Ammo safe size

#1 Post by BaconButty »

I'm just filling out my app and have down for storing:

.22 - 2000
.223 - 400
.308 - 300
.357 - 300
.38 - 300
Slug - 200

But I've just happened across a problem. At the moment I only have an internal ammo safe in my cabinet, I've not seen bulk ammo stacked up before but I'm guessing all that won't fit in a small safe. Can anyone suggest what sort of size I should be looking at please? I'm short on room :bad:

Measure the space available and then look at the Bratonsound pistol safes and get the biggest one that will fit in the gap.

Funnily enough I ordered the Bratonsound 7 pistol cabinet a few days ago - I had the same problem...getting a rifle out was becoming like a game of Kerplunk!

It was twice what I wanted to pay, but after taking all the measurements it made more sense...

...I got it from here:

...I can recommend their service (so far)...they called today to arrange a delivery time for tomorrow :good:

These are quite good value (if you don't mind keys over digital locking). This is quite a good seller too, bought a few things from them (including a safe!)

Thanks for that link.

I actually have a lockable coshh cupboard which is more than big enough, however it lives in my garage (detached from the house) and I don't suppose an FEO would be happy about that :(

Best option (for me) was the large digital safe from Argos.

It's about the same overall volume as the Ebay one but has extra depth, PC Plod was more than happy with it :good:

Anything smaller and you'll soon stuff it full
