Danish Snider 1861
Everyone who knows us will know that I have the best husband and friend in the world.
Ovenpaa has for the last week or so acted a bit strange, just small things, "hmm" I thought "what is it that I am not supposed to know". Now I know how difficult it is to buy him something as a gift because we are always together. So equally he would have struggled and I must say he did well this time. I was clueless when...
...a loooooong parcel turned up today, "open it" he said very excited
I am now the proud owner of a Danish Snider. It has a barrel where I can easily put my thumb into. It is longer than a long thing. It is a stunner :shakeshout:
Ovenpaa will post some pictures.
I couldn't ask for more sign92

Pictures.

I machined a dummy case this afternoon to confirm operation and realised afterwards the drawing I used was wrong however the case fitted and the firing pin leaves quite a mark so it is going to work in that respect. The case is 18,0mm X 28,0mm and the bullet is actually a 17,5mm

That is a 5,56x45 NATO case next to it for scale.

good luck with your new toy Christel

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!
