I'm going to bend the rules a bit here but my Favourite Pistol will always be:
As issued 1943 1911A1 that I owned and shot before the ban. It shot well and was not the brute that lots of shooters thought they were. I had it deactivated as a reminder - sadly it was always worth more deactivated than it was when alive.
Not exactly a rifle but a carbine, I enjoy shooting this enormously. This one is a straight pull shooting the original .30 M1 Carbine round, dead easy to reload and accurate out to 300yds. Perfect for Gallery Rifle as well.
My beaten up and well used S1 Mossberg Slugster. I've included this even though it is a shotgun because when using rifled slug, it becomes a FBBR (Flipping Big Bore Rifle) capable of 13" groups at 100yds.
Must get a new stock for it some time.
There are others that come a close second. :-P :-P

Hi Paul,
Shame about the pistol :( . If you ever get bored (which I doubt :) ) of the M1 straight-pull...please let me know....
Cheers,
Dougan.

Hi Dougan,
As you suspect, the M1 is hard to get fed up with and I don't see myself parting with it any time soon. Strangely Brown in your original M1 Carbine thread said that he saw one being used at a LERA comp, that was either me or another guy I know well who also has one. In fact, my local club probably has 75% of those imported into the country, we own five in total.
The last one I saw for sale was about 4 years ago and one of our club members managed to get hold of it. I think he paid around £900 which we all thought reasonable, you're probably looking at well over a grand now if you could find one.
All the reloading components/tools are readily available.

HMM
Pistol: HK USP .45ACP
Assault rifle: Sig 550 Commando
Long Rifle: my AE was boringly accurate but YES on list
Shotgun: Hatsan Pump Action..ideal for wee arms like mine and those that cannot rack other guns whilst on the shoulder...
(Mosbergs, Remmy etc just have too much reach on them..and weigh a ton. Would give room for Benelli though..if fitted with a straight stock as per some Ar's.)
SMG I know no one asked.... would need to be HK UMP.45 or MP5.....

For me, based solely on personal experience:
Pistol: Sig P229 in 40sw. A good decent 'solid' pistol that never let me down and although never forced to use it in any scrapes, i always had confidence in it (which i believe is the most important requirement of any pistol).
Long gun: I may well be the product of the last SLRs and the complete bollox, 1st SA80s but for me, i always liked the G3. My last was a similar set up for sniping, the SR9. That'll do for me.

You were shooting the SR9? That is not exactly run of the mill issue stuff then. Was that with Kahles or Zeiss optics?
