Who said anything about a built up area. The police here have being using 5.65 MM rifles for years in built up areas and border country areas, and would use them out to 300 meters and more if someone was shooting at them. I assume the there are large outdoor areas in the rest of the UK as well, like Cumbria for example.How likely are the police to engage at 300 yards (or even 200) in a built up area?
