I was up on Wexham Road at the other end of Slough and occasionally in an office/lab almost opposite the Racal building.

There's actually some pretty rigid rules in place.
And sort of enforced.

That article explains the prosecution of a gent who used his near a sub base......
Pertinent points are, not within 50m of a structure, not within 50m of a person, or within 30m if a camera is fitted (which is odd)

I too worked in that Broadstairs establishment, reworking HF receivers destined for Arab-land, think it was. I did part time, weekends and a bit, was meant to be at UKC studying but preferred the lure of cash, autumn 1980/spring 1981, very cold out that part of East Kent. Times change, when I left UKC I had a car, decent hifi and £700 in the bank.

Meanwhile, more closely approaching the original topic, I do fancy one of those small FPV quadcopters for racing around the garden, can't get the 50m from a structure though.

Data protection and drones, bore them to death with this if they annoy you - or beat them with a hard copy :o

If anyone is still seriously thinking of shooting them down here's an idea - DU shotgun rounds!!!!!!!!!!!! bangbang

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2013 ... un-rounds/

http://www.luckygunner.com/12ga-3-urani ... n-5-rounds

Just remember that shooting down someones drone will land you in trouble though -especially if it is owned by the government.

No problem, barrage balloons are quite niceand can be painted in bright colours if that suits you - though I suspect black with white stripes will be more fitting for you badger ;) .

I'm not saying it's big or clever, but I distinctly remember a Home Secretary (Willie Whitelaw) trying to shoot down a hot air balloon who had the affrontary to float over his air space (probably with some of those working class types in), while he was out with a shooting party.
This may actually be the only real case of confusing peasant shooting and pheasant shooting ... but I digress.
For drones, surely electronic measures could be deployed instead of lead?
