One aurgment could be said to them is that .22 pistols are already allowed on section one tickets abit with long barrels and a rod out back so they may as well have th em legal with a shorter barrel and no thing out the back ! As FAC holders are law abiding the concealment element is not going to happen as one can already cut down the long barrel on his lbp or on a shotgun

Also NI and the rest of Europe could be brought up

After the last massacre it was proved the gun crime by FAC holders was next to none
goodjob

The only problem would be the media circus although they didn't seem to notice the evil LBP we were allowed.

The only other problem to bringing back proper Pistols is - Convincing the Wife I need a few thousand pounds for all the stuff I would want to buy. lol

Joe- We have sent letters to all the relevant Government Ministers ( PM, Home Secretary etc) and asked other organisatons to do the same in addition to supporters. I understand that BASC and the CA did so.

We also often mention NI, and Europe but we continue to get the same standard response "we support shooting sports, no plans to review, public safety is the priority" and so on. However some MPs have been supportive of the idea of lifting a ban and even one or two Lords. So we are trying to encourage them to bring it up and gather support in Parliament but again we still need everyone to be contacting their MPs expressing their own support for it and showing there is a large unified movement out there.

Firearms UK does aim to be the organisation that champions gun ownership in the UK but at this stage we are still a little small which is why we really need the support of all progressive shooters.

You can point that out, but you run the risk that bringing it to their notice, what they would see as a the loophole allowing LBP/s they could try and ban them as well. But the other choice is to do nothing which isn't a great option either.
