Apologies Ordnance; rude of me - To be fair though it's not relevant for most of the UK...
That's OK, I would want people to forget about us over here. :flag13:

I know that, which is why I'm puzzle that we couldn't have rustled up some of them and maybe on top a few newbies that never got the chance.

I know guys who were avid pistol shooters who have never fired a round since their pistols were confiscated, nor do they have an interest in anything else shooting related.

I used mine for first time in comp - 200 yards McQueen.

50.3

Thats 3 out of ten in v bull which is .5 moa

Well under moa overall with factory GGG 168gr

Thats snap shooting at randomly positioned 3 sec exposures. So easily accurate albeit a bit heavy.

Thanks Breacher, good info. It's some price right enough but all this anti black gun talk makes me consider it as a purchase just to help break down the barriers and all that :)

Do you mind if I ask where you got it from?
Get one - you wont regret it.

Yesterday I shot a 50 / 9v at the Imperial McQueen - an all time best for me.

The Ban was nearly 20 years ago, as Sim said, many have given up and another load would have died.
In all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if the number of the pre-97 pistol shooters numbers 15-30,000 now, if that.
Certainly in the clubs I shot with/visited, pre-97 pistol shooters are very much in a minority now.

I disagree gun and knife crime is increasing and burglars are usually crack heads who are always armed with knives ! Don't believe the home office bo...cks
Here's an example of an SGC holder using his shotgun to defend his life and wasn't charged even the judge warned that burgars who break into sgc holders house to expect to be shot

A few EU countries allow a liance for self defence in home as sole justification for a firearm and some of those countries have a far lower crime rate then Uk
Case in point Portugal

Yes after they were treated like criminals for defending themselves.
Mr and Mrs Ferrie were also arrested and questioned for more than 40 hours on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They were later released without charge

That is so sad and not attempting to bring back some of those days, you can but not try or something like that troutslapping as the old saying goes.

But still sad none the less.

Don't get me wrong, I was referring to guns for defense in general (including CC or in the car, like some places in the US), but do actually think that there is an argument for a gun at home (only) for self defense...but personally I think that would need to be on a 'case by case' basis as opposed the free-for-all they have in the US...

...and I didn't really want to get into the whole 'guns for defense' discussion again (we have had it a few times...), but I was trying to make the point that if we want .22 pistols back for sporting purposes, then the two campaigns/discussions should be totally separated.
