I did wonder if the point of Yardley's post was in fact about the airsoft types??

he actually got moaning on the page urging a boycott for the use of certain images crying copyright despite their being a possible fair use defense. In this case fair use being to show him up as an idiot.RDC wrote:I can only read this as "I like to shoot these, and other military firearms, I just don't want you lot to, because you are all fantasist nut jobs"
He has also been banging on about those who are 'training to kill people' (airsoft), and 'those who are militarising shooting' (those with tactical looking rifles) and how that is bad for shooting.
As long as people are conducting themselves in a safe and responsible manner, I don't see what the issue is.
EDIT:
Image was huge so removed it. It's a picture of him with an M60 whilst declaring he isn't scared of big guns despite what people are saying.
Nope. He originally and specifically called out practical shooting as a whole.Strangely Brown wrote:I did wonder if the point of Yardley's post was in fact about the airsoft types??
He started backpedaling when so many people called him out on his pics of himself posing with big game he'd hunted. I guess you can only ban so many people. Plus he started being called out by many IPSC shooters like Neil Smith.techguy wrote:Nope. He does seem to have backtracked in the last few days...
For them its a walk in the park and a social thing too, I presume Yardley hasn't seen any action worse than the quails eggs being overdone in a Kensington eating establishment? What a tool.Sim G wrote:But, what about all of the blokes who were special forces and the like, who now shoot practical disciplines as a civilian after retirement from the military.....?
So he has it in for the re-enactors as well then.25Pdr wrote: and I also think it a bit unhealthy - at the least silly - to prance around pretending to be in special forces. [/size]

A Sad but true reality, but we are also keeping the section 5 market alive.dromia wrote:
Can't say I disagree with his view on them but I would defend their right to play at soldiers all they want even although they are the ones driving the de-act market.
