Cheers BNZ, I struggle to get physically comfortable with it and that is the biggest problem for me, basically my shape does not seem to jell with a 4(T). ideally I need another couple of inches on the butt. I can either look for a very long butt, or extend the existing in a non intrusive manner or add one of the rubber butt cups.

New thread time on this subject :)

the mount is a St Marie mount I got while in the States, you can get them from Andy Allwood, no K31 was hurt in the making of this post the mount is a clamp on, and sits off centre to the right of the receiver.

Thanks Kenny, I am hoping to have a reloading session with Andy at some stage. So I will hopefully sort one out then

I'll be interested to see how the K31 performs - I also acquired one recently but so far haven't had the opportunity to use it at more than 300 yards, and with iron sights only.

meles I have only used mine to 300 yards as well, that was on knockdown targets. It was fun hitting them on 100/200/300 yards one after the other, but I would like to see how accurate or not I can be with it :-). So far I have only used Prvi.

well I'm afraid I can't help you with long range reports :( we were well and truly fogged out yesterday! it took 21/2 hrs for the 100yrd range to be opened! (guys on the 200yrd refused to drop forward and range couldn't be used if they couldn't see the whole butts area, so we all stood around until the 200yrd was officially closed :roll: ) and even then it was impossible to see the bullet holes clearly :( at least I got to check my latest reloads out :) had a good natter though

We were lucky Saturday, it was very foggy when I arrived but soon burnt off to reveal a really nice day at probably 14 degrees with wind hovering between 3-4 minutes @1000

OK got onto the 1000yrd line today with my K31, strong gusting wind blowing, some drizzle and chilly, we had the only target operational at Stickledown so plenty of room for us to spread out I started off with 45MOA of elevation and 7 of windage, first shot was high and right of target, so I took a couple of MOA off both elevation and windage and got on the card! from there every shot was in the black except for a couple just into the white! I am amazed at how consistently I was hitting bulls, even some Vbulls! with a 64 year old milsurp! the ammo was Privi 174 grain factory, I fired off a mag of my homeloads as well and found that except for having to hold 2 mildots high I was still in the black ! I am well chuffed and as it was at least as consistent as the 2 Remmy PSS heavy barrelled rifles shooting alongside this is now officially my 1000 yrd rifle scoped and 300-600 yrd iron sighter!
