Joe, it is an absolute cracker, how does it shoot? It is so close to the Gewehr 88 in many respects, does it have the sleeved barrel as well (Hard to tell in the picture) I have a Gewehr 88 and have just managed to source a barrel for it so I can return it to its original form :)
I don't suppose telling you it is crap and best to get rid is going to help any is it?

I only shoot cast bullets at moderate velocities David, it shoots fine and is still in the original .319 barrel with sleeve though the sleeve has a couple of dinks in it. If I get round to it I'll do a seperate foto post in military rifles at some point.
Oh, it's not for sale btw, my Enfield collection wouldn't be the same without it.

I think I have seen and handled the G88 you mention, did it come from a certain mutual rfd we are both acqauinted with?
Joe

Some more pictures at some point would be very good. Yes that would be the same G88 I have here, it has been lovingly stripped, cleaned and reassembled and I have built an action spanner for it however I have been waiting for the barrel to materialise which at long last it has :)
