17mm socket and bar works on a,lot of niped 12 bore mag tubes.
My shooting buddy did his webbly auto with a,pair of long nosed pliers to pull out the plastic tag that
was used to make his new gun section 2.
No fuss if your Fac has the right slot.

I've seen pump actions with a red plastic insert that I was told you just yank out to allow the mag to take 4 instead of 2. This was a brand new Benelli.

Shouldn't have been -= lax UK importers to blame.

The red plastic type inserts are for when the gun is used elsewhere (abroad), to comply with 2-rd max for certain types of wildfowl or game shooting. It is a common approach to that specific "problem", as, as far as I know, only the UK has a system of additional regulations for shotguns, based purely on their magazine capacity.

ALL shotguns in the UK sold new as S.2 should have a crimped tube = anything else is illegal as the new buyer is in possession of a S.1 gun otherwise = an absolute offence

/\ This. The shotgun you were looking at was S1/FAC and the gun shop doesn't know what they're doing :bad:
