Hi mate i have definatly opened it up enough, there is loads of gap at sides and underneath the barrel and need loads of pressure now for anything to touch, and trigger i believe was set at 3.5lb before being sent to me

OK, well sounds like you have opened the channel up enough. Maybe shooting it in is the answer. Takes a few rounds (sometimes up to a hundred) for some rifles to settle-in.
Mine still has the original adjustable trigger (the one that was subject to recall, but so far I have not had any cogent response from the Remington agent in NZ - he keeps referring me to a web-site which is no longer active - and mine is working fine anyway). I just removed the adjustment screw entirely.
I had the action bedded professionally and also replaced the bottom metal with H & S Precision so I can use their 10 round detachable magazines.

Those two groups were with Hornady Vmax 55gr but i did some other groups only fractionally larger with some RG surplus stuff aswell
