Watched with interest and challenged him on a few points. He fails to draw a distinction between the UK and U.S. Hasn't done himself any favours, not that I'm bothered.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

No, we don't think we are if this is an example of the deep, reasoned and erudite debate to be found on fartbook

It's not that bad Badger, but you get people that scrape the bottom and Mick Yardley appears to be it.

Didn't realise he was so hated in the community, or so well know. I've only ever read his odd review in magazines and on-line.

I've never understood where this prejudice against military (read; modern) guns comes from WITHIN the shooting community? I can half understand it from people who know nothing about guns, but once you realise that its the cartridge that does the 'work' and it matters little what the gun looks like, i just don't get it wtf

Assuming that the worse abuses of firearms are spree shootings, if you look at the 3 biggest in this country the only 'modern' gun (at the time) used in any of them was Michael Ryans Beretta 92, all of the other guns were decades old.

Yardley, ********ing Yardley! The man's an embarrassing blowhard who thinks everything except shotguns and clay pigeon shooting should be banned. He's a disgrace to shooting and a disgrace to shooters. He lost all of his lucrative US magazine-writing gigs after American shooters started reading his Facebook page and told their magazines in no uncertain terms, either Yardley went or they stopped subscribing.

After the Charlie Hebdo mass murders, Yardley decided to start gobbing off that Charlie Hebdo's staff were to blame and the poor little Islamist murderers were provoked. Sickening, vile ... ARGH!

I live in terror of the day the Telegraph or somewhere like that rings him up as a "representative voice" or a "shooting expert". Make no mistake, tweedy gimps like Yardley will be used as Quislings to justify the next ban.
