Who do you think I am, Terry Pratchett? Maybe I could have a story where I fall down a rabbit hole into an alice in wonderland type place where All Firearms departments are just too and the laws are just (we have pistols, centrefire semis and no knee jerk reactions) or would that be too unbelievable?

So me being a bank robber on the jobs and the visited arranged whilst on the job would have been more believable? Makes sense.

Not quite. In this case "decisions" could very easily be followed by "... to grant/renew".

If I get time next week I might waste quarter of an hour on the phone to the GIMP press office and see what their fob-off excuse is. North Yorks really, really didn't want to talk about what their employee had done.

So taking one step north of Watford being north of Watford. The main thing is South Yorks police screwed up and it seems GMP (or GIMP as your called them ) seem to have also screwed up big.
