I think I'm going to sell my centrefire rifles and buy one of these with a couple of slots for barrels

Anyone seen one of these for real yet ? We're mightily tempted by the sound of them. Are they just releasing a short action, or will there be a long action too ?

I was talking to Jake at Sporting Services about them only today and he has not seen them yet. First delivery is due in to them very shortly and I have a feeling we will have one coming albeit very briefly before it heads out to it's new customer.

Will this mean a flood of cheap AWs on the market with owners trading up ??

I doubt it, I much prefer the AW concept however the AT does have some interesting features. You can buy stock inserts to convert the AT to a thumb hole stock and by the time you have stripped the parts of the AT it will look fairly similar to the AW plus they both have bolted and bonded actions. The differences are things like the AT has a 6 lug bolt ALA early target AI's and the screw and camlock quick releaser barrel system. Downside is the AT will only ever be supplied with a .308 Bolt face and the AW/M has been withdrawn from civilian sales so if you want to shoot a new .338LM or .300WM AI you will have to buy the AX from now on.
