Make some temporary patches from an old pillow case or bed sheet. Anything really as long as it's not fluffy materiel.

I know there are millions of glocks out there being used every day with never a problem.
But after seeing that I just can't trust one.

Spent this afternoon resetting my dies following installation of the Hornady lock and load system in my RCBS Rockchucker press; all this was very straightforward. All the seating dies had to be re-adjusted to achieve the correct COL, as did the re-sizing dies. Rox might like to know that the Redding Instant Indicator is very quick when measuring a batch of cases using a single parameter, e.g. headspace. However, it has to be said that the Stoneypoint system for measuring headspace on digital calipers can also measure case length, the two measurements being combined using the same setup. Horses for courses.

Just got home after shooting the European Long Range Target Rifle Championships at Bisley. I was shooting for England and was fortunate to be coached by Whizzy Bill.
A cracking two day shoot between the Home Nations plus Channel Islands and Germany. Final result was England 1st, Ireland 2nd and Scotland 3rd.

Congratulations to all who took part and a special thanks to Whizzy Bill and Webbie.

It did seem rather busier this week than three weeks ago, was all the long range on Stickledown? Seemed to be a bunch on Century at 600 yards too.

I was shooting McQueens with my club, it was freezing first thing, literally, and I don't envy the campers. I was on seriously crap form too, not sure if it was my cold, or just feeling rushed because I needed to get to Northamptonshire for 2pm.

yep, all done on Stickledown. Yesterday was 2+15 at 800/900/1000yds on ICFRA targets. Today was 900/1000yd 2+15 on ICFRA targets. Decided after the shoot to put my rifle in for re-barreling. I should get it back for the week-end so I may be running it in, inbetween competeing at the Trafalgar Meeting.

Freezing doesn't cut it!! I woke up in the caravan atleast 4 times during the night!! First time I put an extra sleeping bag over me, second time I put my t-shirt and hoodie on, 3rd time came the trousers and socks, an fourth time was when I put my hood up because my head was cold!! Definitely the last shoot of the season!!

Still at 900/1000 on sticks today... Had an awful shoot at 900! Missed the first 5 shots and couldn't see where they were going... Ended up with 49.1 out of a possible 75 (2+15)... Still pulled it back somewhat at 1000 by putting up a 69.4... I'm not in the league of the rest of the shooters that were on the points we were using today, but everyone's gotta start somewhere!

I also met Steve E today, was a pleasure mate and sorry I didn't get to say Cheerio! I hope I didn't come across rude by running off to go plot! Always nice to put faces to the names on FBUK!! :-)
