Hmmm today?
Still cleaning the firearms I took to the fall shoot last weekend.
I cleaned the black powder burners and the ones that had corrosive surplus ammo first, the rest could wait a few days.
Today I'm working on getting the residual copper traces out of the gas block of a FN FAL G1

My reloading stuff turned up for the 8mm Mauser so made up 20 rounds which i'll try sunday.

Unfortunately,i was a complete douche and ended up doing them twice. I had them sat on my table like little soldiers in rows of 5 in their various powder weights...then went into clumsy mode and knocked them all over...mixing them up. Had to pull the bullets, empty the cases and start again. emrolleyes

I have just taken delivery of a Hornady "Lock and Load" bayonet system to use with the dies on my RCBS Rock Chucker press. It seems to work well, and also the Redding " Instant Headspace Guage" with its sexy dial micrometer. Does anyone have any experience using these items?

What, no reloading block? Get yourself a bit of wood and drill some case sized holes in it.

I use the bayonet system on powder measures, but prefer to just use sure-loc rings for dies (they're available from our very own jon17). Actually I'm not sure I have a press with a 1-1/4-12 thread to take the Hornady system anyway.

I had the Instant Indicator on my wish list for a while (was thinking of putting one on the Dillon for checking seating depth), but I haven’t got a round tuit yet. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with it. Meanwhile I'm looking forward to upgrading to a Shed Comparator.

In the Andrew, our 'as issued' Round Tuits were made of hemp rope, where can I get a wooden one?
