Got very damp shooting on Short Siberia, lying in a puddle of cold water seems to defeat my breathable waterproofs, will try my some non-breathable firemans ones next time it's this damp. Marking was a bit drier, but the patches kept falling off and the patch glue got all over the target.
Zeroed in my new Sightron and using RWS ammo from the Range Office, I reckon I was getting within 3" of the little black dot I was using as a test target. I tried using a rest rather than the bipod, which attracted some comment from the RCO, as the bipod was still on. Not sure it made that much difference, so I suspect the free floating barrel and slightly flexible fore end make less difference than I suspected.
The Sightron is way better than the Hawke it replaces, wonderfully clear.

Since you asked nicely, I'll let you know.
Siberia 100 yds was almost deserted today, very unusual on a Sunday morning.

I was reading this thread from the bottom and spotted your comments and thought of a rainy Dorum McQueen shoot and sure enough Kenny had mentioned it as well. I also ended up lying in a puddle at the 200 point on Short Siberia and my usually very good breathable waterproof trousers just gave up on me. I do remember waiting until the car park was empty and then stripping all my clothes off to get dry with Christel sniggering as I stood by the car in at one point just a pair of Crocs. Feck it was wet that day...

I'd be interested.
Take a look here:

I sprayed it black after taking these pics. It attaches with the boxes on top to the trolley with bungee cords (no pic of this). This is just the first version, and was a bit of a proof of concept so is a little rough. Tried it out for the first time today in pretty poor conditions and it worked well!
To add to this thread, I went to an open practice for PSG at my club (Romsey) and although wet, had a really good day :)

no shorts tongueout OK on the shooting, got the Deer ID test, now have to wait to hear about the rest as they need to be marked and externally verified, a long weekend but good fun clapclap coincidently there were 2 journalists from Sporting Shooter taking the exam and working on an article for the magazine, so there may have been a missed opportunity to get the shorts onto the pages of a national publication tongueout
100m zero target
"Deer" target, 2 shots prone at 100, 2 shots kneeling off sticks from 70, and 2 shots standing off sticks from 40m

Happily getting ready for Blair Atholl this week end. Just have enough ammo, packing plenty of spare clothing then minutes ago, remembering that all my Avon oh so soft is all at Bisley - dur.
Anyone else going to Blair Atholl for the 'F' class meeting?
