More vat then, vat on delivery and my hot meal. The government is a cruel one.

I do like that one, considering he goes on about image and there he is smiling with a dead wilderbeast. Put an image of a person in a striped jumper doing IPSC and that to a person who doesn't shoot and the latter normally is declared more horrific.
I still prefer my choices of Hanoi Mike and Mike Jones.

IIRC when he brought up Paris and terrorism some people(mix of US, UK and Europeans if I remember) spoke about the potential benefits that concealed carry could have and again he went on to simply label the people extremists. Rather than argue what were many (I would say) valid and coherent points that did seem to be supported with statistical evidence and logic.
Using terrorism as an excuse to restrict shooting sports or legal gun ownership is something I'd expect to hear from an anti especially when said terrorists obtained their firearms illegally.

Well seeing as it's all about public perception for him I put it to him how the public would view him kneeling and grinning over the Cape buffalo he just shot. I also put it to him that I reckoned the public would view people shooting paper targets regardless of firearm choice a lot more kindly that someone standing over some animal he just shot.
He deleted that post. The guys a hypocrite.

That's why I think Hanoi Mike is a good name for him. I do wonder if he was aware when crying copyright on the boycott page (he actually posted comments on it) that there is such a thing as fair use and even with my limited legal skills he'd have a hard time convincing a court he was in the right plus it would be very pricey for him and not likely get anything out of it. He's no better than an anti to be fair (despite his followers and I call them that, they're like cult followers) think its uk shooting being divided again, no its realizing people like him are the worst kind. He's ill-informed (his posts on IPSC seem to be based on knowledge of what it was like in the 80's and not in this day and age where it bears no resemblance to any kind of combat training (its been proved to have no use going by all the LAPD cops who did it and got killed using what they'd learnt in IPSC while in the line of duty) and managing to alienate a section of the shooting community. He was there you'd think he'd have learnt something from the pistol ban (I remember an article Sean Gabb or someone wrote where they quoted him as saying we were stuffed) so what changed to make him such a brown noser then? I know the wanting to be let back on the BBC was one, but does he really think he'll be anything more than a token voice at that? Once again, what a tool and as Meles says, wipe the muck that is him off our boots. Extremists we are? I guess he must have spent too long looking in the mirror then.

Tweed-wearing shotgun enthusiast Mike Yardley – once seen as a public spokesman for the sport of shooting – has launched a bizarre attack against his fellow shooters, labelling them “selfish and weird.”
Never hurts to have a screenshot in case he backtracks...

Blu, next time anyone trys to say something to him on his page, screen cap it and save it for someone else to post on his facebook page afterwards and keep everyone else spamming until more people see what he's doing. You had a valid point and most people I know (although one had some experience shooting) tend to have a more positive view of target shooting as opposed to safari hunting and the like, you can sometimes convince them of the merits of pest control, but thats the limit. Mike would get slaughtered doing it (hell most people would not object to eating something shot on a shoot, especially as halal appears widespread and would be a better fate for an animal) but still that picture of Yardley leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It should never be a pleasure, be glad you'd bagged it, but have it quickly sorted for the meat and show it some respect and not post with a s***-eating grin. You were 100% in the right Blu.
Its all about what he wants, since he's an experimental psychologist, I'm going to guess he can spot narcissm. Well all in the places it counts.

Do you have a list of publications he writes for and email addresses so we can write to ask they reconsider employing this toxic individual that is so out of touch its unreal? The great white hunter is so laughable out of date its unreal, he's the worst kind of stereotypes rolled into one toxic individual.

To be fair , Mike Yardley has a point & I certainly enjoyed reading his valid comments on African big game hunting ... But I can not help wondering which will offend and which one will amuse the UK shooting community & the UK general public ...
That
?
You should never judge a book by it's cover.
The chap in the top photo is, I believe, Larry Vickers. He is the real deal.[/quote]
nope, just an airsofter, the yellow team tape on his shoulder is the giveaway

The other giveaway is HK416, most people can't afford and there are cheaper ways in the US and Canada that the semi auto version of that if you want an AR.
