SimG, tell you what I'm going to call Leupold when they open and ask them where their stuff is made or indeed if stuff is imported from China and put together in the US. They don't open until 7AM Pacific time which is 10AM my time so I'll get back to you on this.

OK I just spoke to a fella in Leupold tech department. Their Bino frames are indeed made in China although the glass is made in Japan. All glass for their scopes comes from either Japan or Europe and is produced to Leupold specs. All rifle scope frames and other parts are made in their machine shops over there in Beaverton, Oregon.
