We could get our paws on AutoCad et cetera, but that wouldn't help. We need assistance from a big brained ooman to drive it. What we're hoping for is a clever ooman to provide a CAD model of a 7.62 silencer based on a real item. Once we have modelled the gas flow through it, we can validate the model against the real thing. With a validated model, we can then start making improvements. The only thing holding us back is a complete and utter inability to use a CAD package. It's a small brain thing.

if you can wait several months till I get my FAC then I'm all ears

But otherwise I'd just have to settle for dimensions. I feel that it may be hard to get someone who can provide both the 3D skills plus have the equipment close to hand.

If you are capable of modeling it I assume you will use a computer program to model it and do the sums some thing like aspen I guess. Then I dont understand why you think you would struggle with autocad it is not that dificult to use.

I am guessing that the only way to see what is inside, (to do a model) is to cut one in half ? and therefore is it illegal to be in possession of half a moderator?

Yes Spammers is one reason, I am not sure of the others, it is just the way the Viking has set things up, probably to differentiate between new and more established members.
