Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

This rule applies to the entire forum.

Ah well there is a story, I was under strict instructions to call the MD the moment it was open, not to look inside and to get rid of anyone else near it, so I did. The MD plus Engineering Director literally ran up the stairs, sprinted along the corridor (Hardly dignified behaviour for such senior people) Swung the door open and peered in to find....... nothing. Not a single item.

Heheh. By the looks they gave each other that was not in the plan  They cursed each other, cursed me, argued a bit much to my delight and then disappeared off looking rather dejected. I never did find out what they were looking for, I knew them both very well but they never would tell me what they had expected.

As a post script just a couple of weeks ago I heard from an old friend who told me they have both passed away now so the secret of the Chub safe is gone forever.

Appears that the delay in getting the lock on my safe replaced was due to the local lock company not contacting me before Xmas. Brattonsound passed on the instructions to Walsall Locks who passed them on to a locksmith in Dundee who then forgot about it.

Should have a call tomorrow and access to my guns early next week.

I feel the urge to give them a clean just for the hell of it!!!!

And we have access once again...fantastic! Sad I know but I do like to open up the safe now and pick up my rifles, work the action, put the bolts in etc and then lock them up again. I've missed that.

Barry Buddon booked for Saturday and a thaw on the way, with any luck the army will oblige with sentries and I'll use up my 84 rounds of 303 as I'm itching to shoot it for the first time.

Not exactly, I was in the office with him but had my back to him. He was pretty keen to expalin what he was doing though. Didn't take very long at all.

Mike, I'm a bit slow at picking up posts sometimes. My locksmith was the bar steward who broke in.
