Update:
The black one arrived, there are differences. Black one has a more grip if that is need by anyone, it has an unfinished handle so it has a rough cast finish.
The black finish is sprayed on to the rough surface, this means the logos are not stamped in, they are merely masked.

I decided to keep the stainless one as it is better finished all around, name stamped and as pointed out can be dropped into a dishwasher.
Not sure about the black ones or how they might stand up to that.

If anyone has a knife they are using they really like for whatever purpose, feel free to drop it into the thread, I love knives and I am always interested in other peoples gear.

For many years this was my everyday knife, the S&W serrated SWAT. Always in my pocket it is well worn and modified to better get to the catch for ease of opening, I also added PTFE washers to the blade hinge. A lovely everyday knife and being one of the earlier ones it holds an edge nicely. Sadly it has been relegated to the shelf along with a few others.

Oooh that's nice! :good:
PTFE washers, why didn't I think of that I have a couple that would benefit from them, what a great idea. :good:

Why has this and a few other of your knives been relegated to the shelf?
Did you find another or just not needed due to a change in pursuits? :-P

Oh I like my knives however lockers are (For the most) illegal outside of the home so they are gathering dust. I have a lovely Kershaw as well, great knife but a locker. Christel always carried a handy sized Earl locker in her handbag and even got told off by UK customs about carrying it when she was heading back to DK by 'plane one evening. It is here gathering dust.

The one I do like is a WWI pattern British Army knife and I have mine on the table next to me.

Congrats on getting one half price.
Not sure, but i think that they just sell for cheaper over there. That and the exchange rate helped.
