My favourite all time pistol would be the Mauser C96 broom handle. It just brings up visions of days gone by…and all that mush :oops: There is just something about its looks. I love it. Thankfully it can still be held on a sec 7.1

Favourite rifle has to be my Shiloh Sharps 45-90. Again a historical rifle that is capable of outstanding accuracy though the bullet does takes ages to reach the target!

That i've actually used it would have to be the Rolls Royce of semi-auto rifles and the Vauxhall Astra of pistols;

H&K PSG-1

Glock 17

But if it was ANYTHING i could have, i'd go for;

AI AS-50

Beretta 93R (Obviously i'd have to do something about those grips though :D )

Rifle - SMLE No1 MkIII. IMO, *the* best military bolt action out there, or was out there. It's accurate, it's squaddie-proof and the thing just feels right in the shoulder.

Pistol - :?: I've never anything that wasn't black-powder, so I don't really has the knowledge to have a favourite.

Hmm - tricky. I've not shot pistol (other than M/L) since before the ban and my memory is terrible but I always shot best with a Colt Python so I think that has to be the one. I loved the M1911 but I was a lousy shot with it (as I was with the L9A1) so I can't have that!
Riflewise I think it will have to be the L1A1 that Her Maj. lent me for a few years. Twenty five years on it's still the only rifle that I ever won anything with!

Webly Mk VI, Colt 1911 Series 70 or a Hi-Power.

Lee Enfield No. 4 or an SLR.

:lol: Obviously.

Was shooting it yesterday in the rain at Bisley actually. Good fun.

I never had the oppurtunity to shoot modern pistols, but going by movies, I would really like to shoot a S&W M29 .44 mag one day. Will certainly 'make my day'.
As for rifles, I think there is nothing to beat the SMLE in a rough n tumble free for all. So, I'll second that as my back up rifle.
