Hi Lubo

Welcome to Full-Bore UK shakeshout

I adjusted my torch right down yesterday and annealed all of my 300aac cases, nice job :good:

Apart from the cost, the Amp looks quite a bit slower to use than Lubo's machine, and requires more operator input.
IMHO simplest is best where technology at this level is concerned.

The Amp is lovely but very expensive!.

Using Lubo's I simply took 2 cases from each of my various calibres, marked them up with Tempilaq and ran one through with the time set on maximum and noted the time needed.

I adjusted the timer then ran the second case through to double check.

I now have a record of the times for each calibre/make of brass and it works very nicely indeed.

I shot 100rnds of 6.5Creedmoor yesterday, this is R P brass and looking at my list it needs 7.5 seconds, so just adjust the timer then start feeding cases through, job done :)

What do you do about repeating the flame intensity/heat each time?

It's a fairly cheap and cheerful torch but I set the flame length by eye and I always run 1 Tempilaq case before doing a batch to be sure.

I ran my second batch of 6.5 Creedmoor through it this morning, timing for the Tempilaq case was what I'd previously noted, 7.5 seconds.
