I loaned mine to a club member , he returned with a 9mm hole right through it , he said he'd get me a new one but didn't - the b_stard.

Can I add a third type? Those who've had their chronograph shot by someone else.

LOL, OK, I missed that one having been in the 'shot my own' camp.
I was zeroing and chrono-ing the 300whisper and was getting great groups at 100yds so decided to get down-range speeds by moving the chrono nearer the target.
I know, I know, it was an accident waiting to happen....
Anyway it was/is a CED one with the big remote display so I could place the actual chrono away from the target and have the sky screen just in front place so that nice group would register and the whole thing would be safe.
Fired three shots and the display registered the bullets and then the wind blew it over. On going to collect it I found a neat 3-hole group just in the top of one of the sensor housings, missing the actual sensor but about half an inch. It still works and I have the permanent reminder not to do it again.
Why the rifle would suddenly shoot 3 inches lower I don't know but I guess it may have had something to do with the bullet-magnet properties of all chronos.

I managed to put a Chrony down with two 180 grain 7mm Berger bullets followed by clipping my own CED Millennium and decided it was time to stop using the things. I should have learnt first time... The problem was the same each time, a 42X Nightforce wound right up meant I simply could not see anything and with hindsight I would always say drop the magnification right down or use something like a Magnetospeed or Steinert which mean there is virtually no chance of shooting the things.

I use the Magnetospeed chronograph so what camp would I sit in?

I have just ordered a replacement LCD screen for my damaged F1 Chrony for £20 including postage, from a UK supplier on e-bay, which is a huge saving over a new replacement.
