Re-sizing Brass... do I need to lube inside the neck?

I have noticed that things go a little smoother when I put a dab of lub in the neck.
Just wanted to know if it was good or bad.

I use Lee Pacesetter dies for my Mosin reloads, when I missed lubing one of the necks with Lee case lube it pulled the expander / decapping rod out of the die.....ooops

So yes, I always use a small bit of lube on a cotton bud.

The worst thing you can do is overlubing and lubing the shoulders. You can get dents from hydrolic pressure which is a problem. Other than that it's pretty straight forward.

What you do need to do is clean it off afterwards, particularly if it is inside the neck.

The problem that follows is that the kernels of powder stick inside the neck and may well bung the funnel up. Not a massive issue occasionally, but you have the potential of contaminated propellant which may, or may not be an issue depending on the sort of shooting you do and how long you store it.

I usually bung mine in a bucket of brake and clutch cleaner (outside and with gloves etc obviously) and give em a good sluice, usually only after FL though, otherwise a wipe should do it with imperial etc.

This si why in the right places dry lube can be a good idea.
