From a personal view I would ask for sight of FAC if I was asked for a firing pin from an unknown/new customer. It is my prerogative and my livelihood, we have a number we can call 24/7 if we ever have any concerns about potential sales. I would use it in the blink of an eye if I have even the slightest doubt.
Some components are controlled with regard to export/import. Specific components such as those component parts specially designed for firearms appear on the ML1 of The Export Control Order 2008.
