Hi Saddler I will post some photos of the sendero when the bolt arrives back from repair of the extractor
As for scope I will get the Vortex Viper 6-24x50 FFP still don't know weather MOA or MRAD with Horus reticle
Mounts ? do you have any suggestions as what would be best with a 20moa weaver rail ?

I use standard Leupold or Vortex mounts. Make sure you have the right size rings to match the tube as some are 1" and others are 30mm etc. For 300wm I'm not sure if you need anything more "solid," but I doubt you will.

I'm using leupold quick release mounts on my 338 with no issues.

And if the op is interested, I'm using a sightron s111 6-24x50 in MOA.

I'm happy enough with it

Make sure the unit of measure on the turrets match the reticle. i.e. both MOA or both MRAD, they don't always match. Also... being able to set the turrets to a known zero (zero stop) is essential IMO, it's easy to lose count how many times you've turned the elevation turret. SFP is fine if you know the size of your target and the distance you're shooting at.

Vortex are really good value.
