Coincidentally, a shooting friend recently mentioned him, says he sometimes visits his Farm to shoot deer, seems that although he a good clay shooter, he is arrogant, incompetent and quite lacking in safety procedures. Oh! He also mentioned he was a pi$$ poor Rifle shot too.

So he must hate the Lee Enfield or a .57 Calibre Rifle Musket, I mean they do look totally military!techguy wrote:Yes, I know dromia; you hate social media...let's not debate the pro's and con's of that in this thread
Has anyone seen MY's posts in the last few days on FB?
Summed up by this by him:
Not a great public comment from a British shooting journo...A statement of my prejudice. I don't like video games that involve mass killing. I don't think sporting shooters should pretend to be soldiers, policemen or members of special forces. Generally, I think guns which have a modern military look don't have much place in the shooting sports and give quite the wrong impression to the public. They may also foster unhealthy fantasies...
Some good comments on the thread, and some really disappointing ones :(
I jest but define "Military Look"...
As for his comments on gaming, it has been repeatedly proven that there is NO LINK between violent crime and computer games. I am an adult, I enjoy playing violent computer games be it GTA-5, Battlefield or Halo! I can separate reality from fantasy! What right does he have to pass judgement over a pastime he clearly doesn't understand especially when the pastime we share shooting is so much under attack!
Gaming is no longer an activity of Children, the largest body of gamers out there with significant buying power are in their thirties! It is a mainstream multi billion pound industry.
I enjoy gaming, I enjoy service rifle shooting and I enjoy owning Military style rifles...he can knob off!
I hope he reads this rant!!!

Doesn't surprise me, apparently Discovery got him in as an 'expert' to help recreate Kennedy's assassination. Blamed the gun for poor shooting and stated that the shot was impossible and therefore a conspiracy was real, not factoring in his own abilities against those of Lee Harvey Oswald who classed as a Marksman in the USMC.

Indeed if you look at Lee Harvey Oswald's shooting record from the UMSC the shot he took on Kennedy was well within his abilities and the rifle.dave_303 wrote:25Pdr wrote:Coincidentally, a shooting friend recently mentioned him, says he sometimes visits his Farm to shoot deer, seems that although he a good clay shooter, he is arrogant, incompetent and quite lacking in safety procedures. This sounds like a typically p***-poor social media attempt to be "edgy" and drum up readership by saying something controversial.
Saying "f*** off" usually fixes it.

Is it true that the scope was mount in a position more for a left-handed person than a right handed person though? I'm one of those that still thinks if 2+2=5 that something is still not right. However 2+2 = Mick Yardley is a tool and a cock is correct regardless though.Fedaykin wrote:Indeed if you look at Lee Harvey Oswald's shooting record from the UMSC the shot he took on Kennedy was well within his abilities and the rifle.dave_303 wrote:25Pdr wrote:Coincidentally, a shooting friend recently mentioned him, says he sometimes visits his Farm to shoot deer, seems that although he a good clay shooter, he is arrogant, incompetent and quite lacking in safety procedures. Sorry for the minor digression butSixshot6 wrote: Is it true that the scope was mount in a position more for a left-handed person than a right handed person though? How is it a case of 2+2=5? Oswald was a Marksman for the USMC using a relatively unused Carcano M91/38 (compared to the ones in the US today that have had a high round count). The ballistics, wounds etc... all match Oswald doing it, they have even accounted for the 'missing' shot (there's the report of a shot that no one accounted the projectile for) which hit a traffic light.
Back on topic, Yardley is now, sadly, a threat to shooting, he conjures up the image of the tweeded gentry who is nothing but a snob, whilst spouting the shooting is being militarised (so what? the NRA was founded off the back of the Volunteer Movement along with ISPC shooters influencing military shooting techniques, lets embrace it instead) and that 'military looking guns' have no role in shooting sports.
As Sim said,

Re: Mike Yardley's positiveshooting.com - Facebook
Didn't know that. I guess I'm just always, suspicious. I come from South Yorkshire and had a slight argument with someone about how as mentioned in another thread here, if you're politically expendable like those people mentioned in that Spectator article about Bradford were (women's hockey team, etc) they will abandon you. So I'm suspicious for that reason alone. Plus too many other variables about Kennedy and his administration that just screams inside job, even with the evidence of Oswald being the man who did it.dave_303 wrote:Sorry for the minor digression butSixshot6 wrote: Is it true that the scope was mount in a position more for a left-handed person than a right handed person though? Back on topic, yes Mick Yardley is a threat to uk shooting. The tweed brigade are here to f*** us over again. I say like you, we embrace our heritage. We nurse it. And tell sell outs like him to do the anatomically impossible.
