I hear Lee Enfield No4 Mk2's of later years eg. 1955 that are unfired or close to are soaring in value. Have been offered £1200 for mine.

My June 1949 FAZ No4 mk2 was unused when I acquired it 10 years ago. It was my first full bore rifle and still is one I really enjoy shooting. It still has the as new appearance through the use of Brasso and BLO.

some of c&g's are built from genuine vintage unissued barrels, unissued wood and unissued actions. technically part guns, but also war vintage but unfired.... just newly built

he also offers (at a cheaper price) newly made barrels.

My Enfield has a slightly greyish colour to the metal. I'm of the opinion that this is not original (as most seem to be black) Is this correct?

Slightly off topic but is there a correct way for the sling to go. I had mine like Martini's pic and scratched my stock. I've turned it around and don't think I've had any more issues.

Hi Charlotte,

Grey finish like the Garand if so it's been parkerised to protect the metalwork, or could be just worn finish.

On the sling hooks should face outwards away from the wood like Grizzly pictures...so yours is now correct

thankssign

Yes its parkerised, just wondered if that lowers the value (I'm guessing that it does)
